Anne Frank Elementary School, located in Northeast Philadelphia, is a public school serving Kindergarten through 5th grade. At Anne Frank, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where every student can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Our school day begins at 7:30 AM and ends at 2:09 PM, and we’re excited to partner with you to make this a successful year for your child.

At Anne Frank Elementary School, we embrace the strengths of our diverse student population. Guided by our motto, “Working, striving every day to do the best we can,” we offer a challenging curriculum, dedicated teachers, and a variety of programs that support academic, social, and emotional growth.
School Day: 7:30 AM-2:09 PM
Dismissal
Half Days: 7:30 AM-11:09 AM
Breakfast: 7:00 AM-7:25 AM
Doors open at 7:00 AM for breakfast for students in grades 1-5
Lunch/Recess
K-2 Lunchroom:
Half of the students eat first and then play. The other half do the opposite.

Specific student schedules may differ depending on class sections.
Attendance matters! The consistency for both students and teachers is critical to success. Consequences can come from excessive or unexcused absences.
Our School offers several programs during the school day to broaden the horizons of our young scholars. We offer a variety of activities and clubs geared toward student interests and abilities.

Out-of-School Time (OST)
Out-of-School Time (OST) is the time that a child or youth spends in after-school or summer programming. I
OST programming is provided by Philly Kidz daily at Anne Frank.

Policies
Annual Notification of Rights under FERPA
The School District of Philadelphia is required to annually notify parents and eligible students of their rights under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). These rights include the right to inspect and review education records, request amendments, consent to disclosures, and file a complaint.

Students are expected to wear appropriate clothing at all times, including shirts, pants, dresses, skirts, and proper footwear(no Crocs or open shoes). When the temperature is over 80 degrees, students may wear shorts.
